Nia DaCosta (born 8 November 1989) is an American director. She gained recognition after her feature directorial debut, the crime thriller Little Woods (2018), which was awarded the Nora Ephron Prize for women directors at the Tribeca Film Festival.

After working on other projects, in particular directing two episodes of the British thriller Top Boy in 2019, DaCosta became the first Black woman director whose film debuted at number one at the American box office on its opening weekend with the horror film Candyman (2021). She then became the first Black woman to direct a Marvel comic book film, The Marvels (2023), which, despite its box office failure, became the highest-grossing film directed by a Black woman.
