On September 19, episodes were filmed in a women's colony near Vladikavkaz. The filming of the episode of the return from the army of one of the main characters, Ilyas, was supposed to take place in the Karmadon Gorge. According to the official version, a block of ice broke off a cliff on Mount Dzhimara. It fell onto the Kolka Glacier, and the glacier moved down the gorge, carrying stones with it. This flow covered the Karmadon Gorge, where S. Bodrov and his crew were located; large-scale rescue and search operations yielded no results.

    In 1993, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University (Department of Art History).

    In 1998, he defended his candidate dissertation on the topic "Architecture in Venetian Renaissance Painting."
