Ricky Whittle is a British actor and model. Born on December 31, 1981, in Oldham (Greater Manchester, UK). Son of former Royal Air Force serviceman Harry Whittle of Jamaican descent and British woman Maggie Goodwin. In his youth, he was into sports, representing England and Great Britain in youth competitions in football, rugby, and athletics. Due to an injury, he had to give up a sports career. After finishing school, he enrolled at Solent University in Southampton; to pay for his studies, he began working as a model. In 2009, he took second place in the British version of the show "Dancing with the Stars."
