Ross McCall (born 13 January 1976, Port Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish actor, best known for his role as Corporal Joseph Liebgott in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. His first notable film role came at the age of 13, when he appeared as Freddie Mercury in the 1989 promotional video for Queen's song "The Miracle"; he won the role over a large number of contenders. In 1993 McCall appeared in the BBC children's television series The Return of the Borrowers. In 2005 Ross played one of the lead roles in the independent drama Green Street. He played Kenny Battaglia in the Starz television series Crash. He reprised his role as Dave in the 2009 direct-to-video sequel Green Street 2: Stand Your Ground. In 2008 he appeared in the After Dark Horrorfest horror film Autopsy. McCall was raised in the Catholic faith. He was engaged to actress Jennifer Love Hewitt, with whom he appeared in an episode of Ghost Whisperer. On 5 January 2009, People magazine reported that Hewitt had called off the engagement at the end of 2008. He supports the football club Celtic and attended the Redroofs theatre school in Maidenhead. On 23 February 2010 he appeared as a guest star in the series White Collar in the episode "Bottlenecked". Ross played Matthew Keller. He reprised the role in the 14th episode of the second season of White Collar. On 6 March 2010, in an interview with The Mail on Sunday, Sheridan Smith said that she and McCall had started dating after 10 years of friendship. On 1 June 2010 he appeared as a guest star in the series Luther. In July 2010 he began filming the feature film The Guest Room at Sunset Gower Studios in Los Angeles.
