Honored Artist of the RSFSR (08/11/1980). People's Artist of the RSFSR (07/01/1991). In 1961, on the recommendation of the famous playwright Viktor Rozov, he entered the school-studio at the Central Children's Theatre, from which he graduated in 1964. In 1964-1965 he was an actor at the Drama Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya.

In 1965-1971 he was an actor at the Central Academic Theatre of the Soviet Army. In 1971-1987 he was an actor at the K.S. Stanislavsky Drama Theatre. Actor at the MTYuZ. All his life he was fond of sports. Master of Sports in acrobatics, he was a champion of Moscow.
