Biography
Simon Bamford. Simon is best known for his role as "Fat Cenobite" in the original "Hellraiser" and its first sequel "Hellraiser 2," as well as for his role as "Ohnaka" in Clive Barker's film "Nightbreed." However, it was The Who's "Quadrophenia" that gave Simon his first film experience at the age of 16.
Noticed in the role of "Fool" in a London production of "King Lear" by director Clive Barker, he was invited to join "The Dog Company," where he worked with Doug Bradley (Pinhead) and Oliver Parker (director of the films "Johnny English Reborn," "St. Trinian's," "Dad's Army," "Dorian Gray," and "Swimming with Men"). "Hellraiser" and "Nightbreed" soon followed.
Simon reunited with Clive, playing Derek in "Book of Blood" for Matador Films. He again met Candyman Tony Todd, playing "Gary" in "Dead Night," and his voice can also be heard as "Commander Elgin" in the animated "The 11th Hour - Jericho."
In 2015 he completed four shoots: "Arcade," "Roots," "Pub Launch," and the short auto-cannibalism horror "Hunger." Most recently he played the "Head Witchfinder" in "The Ghost of Margam Castle," filmed in Wales, and in Los Angeles, the art gallery owner "Mr. Pendra" in "14 Ghosts."
