Sunny is a character actor with good screen charisma. He is also an experienced martial artist, MMA (mixed martial arts) coach, action scene director and fight choreographer. He has appeared in numerous short films and TV series (including the hugely successful Code of Law on Mediacorp Ch5).

He has an impressive list of film credits, including Call If You Need Me, Last Dance, The Maid and Perth. In his recent feature projects he has played lead and main cast roles. Among them are the Indonesian film Headshot (alongside Iko Uwais as the main antagonist "Lee"); the Malaysian films Petaling Street Warriors and The Collector; as well as the local Singaporean films Siew Lap (Sam Loh) and re: solve. In 2015 he took on the role of action scene director for TV projects such as 2025 and Premonition! He will also appear in upcoming films such as Buffalo Boys (Mike Wiluan).
