Tobias Alistair P. Kebbell is an English actor known for the films «Dead Man's Shoes», «RocknRolla», «Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time», «The Sorcerer's Apprentice», «War Horse», «Wrath of the Titans», «The Escape Artist», «Warcraft», «Gold», and «Ben-Hur». Kebbell was born in Yorkshire. He grew up in Nottinghamshire, where he attended Newark Academy. He went to a Catholic primary school. Kebbell studied acting at the Central Junior Television Workshop in Nottingham, UK. He was first noticed in cinema when Shane Meadows cast him as Anthony in «Dead Man's Shoes». Among the plays in which Kebbell performed: Shakespeare's «Macbeth», Maxim Gorky's «Enemies», «Journey's End». His role as Joy Division manager Rob Gretton in the biographical film «Control» about the life of Ian Curtis was considered his most successful. For his role in this film, he won the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 10th British Independent Film Awards in November 2007.

He also appeared in Oliver Stone's film «Alexander» and «Match Point». Woody Allen invited him to an audition after seeing his performance in «Dead Man's Shoes». In 2008, he appeared in Guy Ritchie's film «RocknRolla». To participate in the picture, the actor learned to play the piano.
