Valérie Karsenti (born August 26, 1968) is a French actress of television, film, theater and voice acting. She is best known for the role of Liliane in the sitcom Scenes from Married Life.

Valérie Karsenti was born in Pantin in the Seine-Saint-Denis department. At 15 she began taking acting lessons, and then entered the National School of Arts and Theater (ENSATT). While still a student, she was invited by Jean-Louis Thamin to play in Plutus alongside Roland Blanche and Jean-Pierre Lorit.

After graduating from ENSATT in 1988, she later played important roles in TV films such as Sniper and Edouard and His Daughters. From 1990 her career began to focus on theater: she played in Camus, Sartre and Others, Colombe with Geneviève Page and Jean-Paul Roussillon, and in Temporary Lulls, which won the Molière Award for best comedy performance in 1997. Later she played in A Thread by the Paw and A Little Game with No Consequences — 5 Molière Awards and best private performance in 2003.

At that time she appeared again on television and in film, especially with Bertrand Blier and Lisa Azuelos. She continued her theater work, for example in As in '14 — 3 Molière Awards and one for best public performance in 2004, The Disguised Prince and The King Is Dying with Michel Bouquet — 2 Molière Awards and one for best private performance in 2005, as well as in The Adulterers with Pascale Arbillot.
