Biography
Virginie Ledoyen (née Virginie Fernandez; November 15, 1976) is a French actress. At the age of 2, she was already appearing in television commercials. At 9, she began attending the School of Performing Arts for Children, and at 10 she made her film debut in "The Adventures of Young Don Juan" (1986). She was then nominated for the César Award (the French equivalent of the Oscar) in the Most Promising Actress category in 1993, 1994, and 1995.
Her international breakthrough came in 1999, when she became an ambassador for the cosmetics brand L'Oréal; this led to her role in the film "The Beach" (2000) alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
