  1. At the beginning of episode 6 of the second season, Jesse smokes meth and goes to a confrontation, after which a close-up shows his eyes as he looks in the window. His eyes are shown as normal with normal pupils, like those of a healthy person, although the most noticeable effect of methamphetamine on the body is dilated pupils that do not react to light.

  2. The main character of the series, Walter White, is known in the criminal world under the alias Heisenberg, a reference to the name of the 1932 Nobel Prize laureate in physics, Werner Karl Heisenberg.

  3. The opening credits show: the formula of methamphetamine (C10 H15 N); its molecular mass 149.24; and some chemical elements are displayed in the capital letters of the names and in the series' title sequence itself.

  4. RJ Mitte, the actor who plays Walter Jr., like his character, lives with cerebral palsy.

  5. The first season was supposed to consist of nine episodes, but due to the writers' strike only seven were filmed.

  6. The writer Stephen King spoke highly of the series, saying that it was the best script on TV.

  7. Bryan Cranston appears in the series not only as an actor but also as the director of several episodes.

  8. The surnames of Walter and Jesse — White and Pinkman — are a reference to Quentin Tarantino's film Reservoir Dogs (1991).

  9. The series entered the 2014 Guinness Book of Records as the 'highest-rated series' after it scored 99 out of 100 on MetaCritic.

  10. In episode 13 of season 3, in Gale's apartment, one can notice a Stephen King book, the short story collection Everything's Eventual.
