Night Man

What it’s about

In 21st-century San Francisco, jazz saxophonist Johnny Domino leads a double life as Night Man, a superhero whose brain acts as a psychic radio tuned to the frequency of evil. He can turn invisible, create doubles, and wields advanced gadgets: an anti-gravity belt, a bulletproof suit with a holographic projector, and an infrared night-vision eye with laser targeting. His mission pits him against the city's most hardened criminals, who fear his name. Only a few know his secret identity.

What hooks you

Matt McColm stars as the title hero, with Earl Holliman as Frank Dominus and Derek Webster as Raleigh Jordan. The series, based on a Malibu Comics creation and developed by Glen A. Larson, includes a crossover with Larson's earlier series 'Manimal'. Its slogan: 'The worst nightmare for the forces of evil.'

Who it’s for

It is a good pick for those who enjoy superhero action with a sci-fi twist, jazz-infused atmosphere, and a hero who uses both psychic powers and futuristic technology to outsmart villains.
