About the series
Dead people are just like you and me, they still want things.
What it’s about
Samantha and Jay inherit a country estate and decide to turn it into a bed-and-breakfast. The house is falling apart, and it is also occupied by ghosts of former residents. After a confrontation with the spirits, Samantha loses consciousness; when she wakes, she can see and hear them. The ghosts include a lawman from the 18th century, a 1960s hippie, a 1980s scout troop leader, a 1990s con artist, and others from different eras. They are not happy about strangers constantly coming and going.

Trivia
- Rose McIver (who played Samantha) and her husband George Byrne announced they were expecting their first child a month after filming began on the show's third season in December 2023. The show's creators decided not to write Samantha's pregnancy into the script, and throughout the third season they went to all sorts of lengths to keep viewers from noticing changes in the actress's figure.
