What it’s about

Spencer James stars for his high school team in South Central Los Angeles, a district known for crime and racial tension. He has no plans to leave until a coach from Beverly Hills High invites him to join his squad. Accepting means a modern school in a wealthy, prestigious, safe neighborhood, with privileges and a promising football future. Yet among the rich students he feels out of place, and new teammates look down on the newcomer the coach has high hopes for.
