In the 8th episode of season 1, there is a scene where the brothers break into a victim's house while it is pouring rain outside. But when they get inside, not only are they dry, but their shoes also leave no marks on the white carpet.

In episode 7 of season 3, Gordon claims that Bela met with the Winchester brothers in Massachusetts. However, in the previous episode, whose events take place immediately before the events of this episode, the car of one of the locals had Rhode Island license plates.

The episode in which Dean keeps watch in the Plucky's diner (season 7, episode 14) — the boy in glasses cheats on the arcade machine. If you look closely, the number of points and goals scored changes in almost every frame.

In season 10, episode 16, at the very end. Sam and Dean are driving down the road in a car, with Sam at the wheel, but as soon as the camera pulls away and shows the car from behind, it is clearly visible that Dean is sitting at the wheel and Sam is sitting next to him. Moreover, Sam's hairstyle does not match his hairstyle in season 10, where his hair is still short.

In the episode "Scarecrow", when the young couple gets out of the car and walks into the apple orchard, the car's headlights are off and the highway is completely deserted, but when a few moments later they run among the trees, headlights can be seen in the background.

In the episode "Asylum", Dean Winchester first opens John's journal to a spread mentioning the deaths of teenagers and a drawing of a wendigo. The second time, the journal was open to a spread where there was only a mention of the teenagers' deaths. The wendigo drawing turned out to be on the previous page.

In the episode "The Kids Are Alright", Sam claims that the changelings feed on the synovial fluid of the mothers until they «kick the bucket». Nevertheless, the bite marks on the mothers were on the neck in the area of the carotid artery. Synovial fluid, also known as joint fluid, is found in the synovium, or otherwise in the joint capsule; it serves to lubricate the joints and nourish tissues. But then the changelings would have had to bite through the mothers' knees, elbows and other large joints in order to feed. Moreover, with the kind of mouthparts these children had, it is extremely difficult to pump out synovial fluid.

The episode "Route 666" takes place in the state of Missouri, but U.S. Route 6, which Sam and Dean were driving on, does not cross the territory of that state.

In the episode "Scarecrow", the town where the action takes place is located in the state of Indiana. However, when Dean is driving back at night, a train passes by with the Canadian National Railway logo on one of its cars (the series is filmed in Vancouver, Canada).

The Winchester car has Kansas license plates on the front, even though the state of Kansas does not issue front license plates.
