Nia inherits the Stardust Hotel. For her, this is the big chance to get rid of her debt to hotel mogul Jon Miko. But he will only take the dump if Nia secures a star for the hotel. Even though no guests have visited the hotel for a long time, she wants to accept the challenge and whip the hotel into shape. But then an outdated cable causes a short circuit and the hotel drifts helplessly toward the sun.
The hotel needs guests, so Nia has grandly promised the guests Bonzo and Beatriz that she will host their wedding at the Stardust. However, no one really knows, least of all the bridal couple, what weddings meant back on Earth. But wedding equals guests, guests equals money, money equals renovation, and renovation equals star—on that they all agree. So they improvise. In the chaos of the various scenarios, Adam and Nia suddenly find themselves in the role of the bridal couple...
Nia is about to lose her mind, because at the Stardust nobody is doing what they're supposed to. Even Adam has nasty glitches as a result of his update refusals. Nia promptly orders a new android who, according to the description, will fulfill her every wish. But when the new one arrives, it quickly becomes clear: Nia accidentally ordered a sex droid, and now he won't leave her side, which drives Adam to near-human jealousy.
Nia has finally managed to bring proper guests into the hotel. In her zeal, however, she has completely overbooked the Stardust: a tour group calling themselves the Children of the Light turns out to be a pilgrim sect. The chaotic bunch is a catastrophe for the meticulous Adam. Eks, on the other hand, feels recognized as a singer by the gurus, which in turn makes Yakumi doubt her sanity. When the oxygen concentration drops to dangerous levels due to the many guests, everyone enters a hallucinating state in which Nia accidentally confesses her affection to Adam.
Adam is about to tell Nia that he feels the same way about her as he believes she feels about him. He gathers all his courage and says what he feels - only to discover that he is standing in front of the wrong Nia. Nia's evil twin Pia has spontaneously dropped by for a visit. Nia has a bad feeling about this. Desperately, she tries to get rid of her intrusive and insolent sister again. But Pia goes over surprisingly well with her team. Even with the unflappable Vero-Sue, who, however, is busy anyway with her latest optimization project: transferring her self onto a new young android body.
Nia manages to find out when the hotel tester will come to the Stardust. While she focuses entirely on fulfilling the supposed tester's every wish and thus finally getting the long-awaited star, Adam resolves to thwart exactly that. Because without the star, Nia has to stay. While the two are head over heels in their respective missions, however, another guest checks in...
The big day: Nia's sales appointment with Jon Miko is imminent. Actually, she no longer wants to sell, but believes she has no choice. Instead of saying goodbye, she plans to sneak away quietly in the morning. But as she creeps through the lobby, the Stardust staff, activated by Adam, surprise her with a birthday party, and Nia's heart grows heavy. When Jon Miko shows up to get the sale done, Nia is completely overwhelmed. In her distress, she challenges Jon Miko to a poker game for the Stardust Hotel: all or nothing.
