What it’s about

Eduard Kuzmin, known as Kuzya, makes a noisy exit from university and returns to his home village of Agapovka. To his own surprise, he is put in charge of the local collective farm. His straightforward manner and offbeat ideas keep the enterprise afloat and even boost its income. Meanwhile, an antagonist works in the shadows, aiming to destroy the farm so the land can be sold for a toll road. Kuzya, unaware of the scheme, fights to protect his village. On top of that, his neighbour Verka and a city girl named Dasha compete for his attention.
