About the series
What it’s about
In 2014 Moscow, financial analyst Maxim Pozharsky makes money for wealthy clients without asking questions. His sister Nina disappears in the Middle East and is held captive. When money cannot free her, Maxim travels to Syria, a country torn by internal conflicts and foreign interests. At the border, rebels kidnap him. To survive, he strikes a deal with militant Said, using his financial skills to earn millions for the group while becoming entangled in local realities where he cannot tell who is fighting for what.
