About the series

You never know which way a friendship will swing.

What it’s about

In 2018, St. Louis County weatherman Clark Forrest and sign-language interpreter Floyd Smernitch are both in their forties and struggling with depression. They start using a mobile dating app, make impulsive decisions, and end up involved with the same woman. Floyd is later found dead.

What hooks you

Pedro Pascal and Jason Bateman produce, with Bateman playing Clark Forrest and David Harbour as Floyd Smernitch. Harbour wore a prosthetic belly instead of gaining weight for the role. The series is a miniseries from HBO Max, created by Steven Conrad.
