What it’s about
Before turning 19, Frank Abagnale Jr. successfully poses as a Pan Am pilot, a doctor, and a legal prosecutor, cashing millions of dollars in fraudulent checks. His skill in forgery and deception keeps him one step ahead of the law. FBI agent Carl Hanratty makes it his mission to put Frank behind bars, but Frank not only eludes capture—he seems to enjoy the chase.

- In the scene where the banknotes are shown in close-up, you can notice that they are of the 1996 series, although the plot takes place in 1967.
- Several times, close-ups show the faces of characters talking on the phone. At the same time, it is noticeable that the handset is attached to the cord with a modern RJ-11 (registered jack) plug.
- When Carl first finds Frank, he shows his ID the wrong way around (showing the cover).
- In the scene where Frank is in the workwear tailoring shop, two yellow stripes are sewn above the cuffs on his sleeves, but in the next scene, when he is walking down the street, his sleeves already have three stripes.
- The film is based on the autobiography of Frank Abagnale Jr., written by him in collaboration with Stan Redding, "Catch Me If You Can" (Catch Me If You Can, 1980).
- Some scenes were specially shot, reshot, or changed at the request of the real Frank Abagnale Jr.
