What it’s about
John Bennett got his wish as a child: his teddy bear Ted came to life and became his best friend. Now an adult, John works at a car rental agency and wants to move forward with his girlfriend Lori. Ted, however, still lives for all-night parties and casual flings, and he refuses to let go of his friend.

Seth MacFarlane directs and voices the bear, with Mark Wahlberg as John and Mila Kunis as Lori. The film won an MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Duo and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. Its humor mixes crude jokes with satire on growing up.

- When Norah Jones plays the guitar on stage, a capo is visible on the second fret, but when the song ends, it is gone.
- When we first see Laurie's apartment at the beginning of the film, the reflection of the film crew from across the street is visible in the ground-floor window.
- After the Jetta crashes into the Volvo, its hood is dented. But when the Jetta stops in front of the kidnappers' house, the hood is fine, only the license plate is hanging loose, and there is a bit of dirt on the radiator grille.
- When Laurie and John are lying in bed (before the thunder), John's right hand is first behind his head, and in the next shot it is already on his chest.
- The film begins with events from 1985. It shows a boy opening a Nintendo console set that he received for Christmas. Such a set was only released in 1988.
- When John is riding in the car with Lori and answers Ted's call, he holds the iPhone upside down (as evidenced by the lock button and headphone jack) for almost the entire conversation.
