What it’s about

Taylor is released on parole and wants a new beginning. Then Dee, his old cellmate, arrives. Dee takes Taylor under his wing, but a vicious attack tests their bond. Taylor must choose between protecting Dee and his own chance to stay free.

Tom Blyth plays Dee, and David Jonsson plays Taylor. Director Cal McMau worked closely with Switchback, a charity that helps former prisoners, to ground the film in reality. The production also recreated genuine phone footage shot by inmates, adding an authentic texture.
