Lady

What it’s about

Lady Isabella, a lonely aristocrat, manipulates a struggling director into making a documentary about her. As the camera follows her, she begins to turn invisible, a change that unsettles her self-obsession.

What hooks you

Sian Clifford plays Lady Isabella. The film blends satire and magic realism, and its pseudo-documentary style adds a distinctive edge to the portrayal of a woman whose need for attention becomes her undoing.

Who it’s for

It is worth a look for anyone who enjoys sharp social satire with a touch of the surreal. Those drawn to character studies of self-absorption and the absurdities of privilege will find a wry, offbeat take on visibility and vanity.
