Trivia
All facts 10
- At the 29th minute, when the protagonist is racing in a taxi through the park, tire tracks on the grass from previous takes are visible.
- As in Die Hard (1988), most of the phrases spoken in German are grammatically incorrect, and some of them make no sense at all.
- The bomb in the park, which required solving a riddle to defuse, would have detonated if it had high precision, as Simon claimed. Since the water in the bottle splashed heavily at the moment of weighing, the scale would have shown different weights. Moreover, with unmarked bottles it is impossible to pour exactly 4 gallons.
- At approximately the 23rd minute of the film, after the woman is thrown out of the phone booth, a young man in a red striped shirt comes out of the building from McClane's side, then before the phone rings, the same man is walking in the opposite direction from Zeus's side.
- The film's original title was "Simon Says".
- The role of Simon Gruber could have gone to David Thewlis.
