Stories from the set

An iron lung is a mechanical respiratory device designed to force a mixture of oxygen and compressed dried air into the lungs.

The film's plot is based on the video game Iron Lung (2022). The game's developer, David Szymanski, collaborated with the filmmakers.

The film was shot in Austin, Texas.

According to Mark Fischbach, 300,000 liters of fake blood were used in the making of the film, making «Iron Lung» a record-holder at the time of its release.
