What it’s about
After an event called the Quiet Rapture makes all stars and habitable planets vanish, survivors cling to orbital stations and ships. Decades later, explorers find a sea of blood on a lifeless moon. A convict is sealed inside a tiny submarine, the Iron Lung, and sent to search its depths for vital resources. If he succeeds, he earns freedom. This is the thirteenth attempt; previous expeditions never returned.
