Stories from the set

Rachel Zegler was initially invited to play Gina, a role ultimately played by Carla Tous, but she then left the project due to the SAG-AFTRA union strike (July 14 – November 9, 2023), and Tous was cast in the role.

Paul King, director of the first two films in the franchise (2014 and 2017), decided not to direct this film, but still took an active part in the project: it was he who came up with the idea for the third film in the franchise, and he also served as executive producer.
