- Nell's alarm clock plays the melody of Elton John's song "Candle in the Wind." The same song plays in Woody's car. Elton John is an executive producer of the film, and his longtime partner David Furnish is a producer.
- The Yale University booklet and the letter from Yale that the viewer sees in Nell's room are genuine.
- In Italy, the film was released under the title "Adam and Eve".
- You don't have to interview to get into Yale University. Many students successfully "get in" without a single interview. Nell could have simply canceled hers.
