Tessa Thompson really liked the character Pawn, and she knew Kumail Nanjiani would be perfect for the voice actor role. This character was fully computer-generated, but Nanjiani specifically flew in from London to voice him alongside Thompson and Chris Hemsworth.

The armament of the Jaguar XJ6 is the work of the film's artist Charles Wood. The arsenal includes pistols built into the windows (five of them), a firearm in the fuel tank cap, and a machine gun in the rear bumper.
