What it’s about
The Men in Black protect Earth from extraterrestrial threats, but now a mole inside the organization endangers their mission. Rookie Agent M joins the London branch and is partnered with the accomplished Agent H to uncover the traitor.
What hooks you
Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson lead the cast as Agent H and Agent M, with Kumail Nanjiani voicing the computer-generated Pawny. Rebecca Ferguson plays Riza, and Emma Thompson returns as Agent O. This is the first film in the franchise not directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and the first shot entirely digitally, using ARRI Alexa 65 cameras. The agents' suits are made from Paul Smith wool that smooths out wrinkles on its own, and their sunglasses are Police brand from De Rigo.

- Initially, it was planned to make a crossover of the TV series «21 Jump Street» (1987-1991) and the films of the «Men in Black» franchise, in which Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill would appear again in the same roles.
- The first film in the Men in Black franchise that was not directed by Barry Sonnenfeld.
- The first film in the franchise to be shot entirely digitally with ARRI Alexa 65 cameras.
- The suits of the male and female agents are made from wool fabric by designer Paul Smith, whose wrinkles smooth out on their own, so the agents always look impeccable no matter where their service takes them.
- The actor playing Vungus, Kayvan Novak, was initially a replacement actor, but he pleased the filmmakers so much that he was added to the main cast.
- Riza's island fortress was filmed on the volcanic island of Ischia in the Tyrrhenian Sea, in the northern part of the entrance to the Gulf of Naples. Ischia is one of Los Angeles's sister cities.
