What it’s about
Alice's husband dies suddenly, and she travels to his family's isolated home for the funeral. His relatives are descendants of a researcher who studied demonic possession. As the gathering unfolds, her in-laws begin to transform into creatures that feed on fear. Alice realizes her husband's death was no accident and that a demonic force has taken hold of those around her. She must protect herself and uncover how to stop the spreading evil.

Souheila Yacoub plays Alice, a role she earned after Vaniček saw her on stage in 'Tous des oiseaux'. Yacoub performed many stunts herself, leaving her bruised for a month. Hunter Doohan, who plays Joseph, prepared by rewatching all the Evil Dead films and the series 'Ash vs Evil Dead'.

- Souheila Yacoub got the lead role after Sébastien Vaniček saw her on a theater stage in the play Tous des oiseaux. Sébastien initially wanted to cast Souheila in Infested, but the actress was already busy with other projects, including Dune: Part Two.
- According to director Sébastien Vaniček, after the success of Infested he received offers from several Hollywood studios. However, most of them involved working from already finished scripts, which did not interest him. Only the offer to make his own story in the Evil Dead universe convinced the director to take part in the project.
- Souheila Yacoub tried to perform as many of her own stunts as possible. After filming ended, her body was covered in bruises, and it took almost a month to recover.
- Filming for the movie took place in New Zealand from July 22 to October 17, 2025.
- Several references to Sébastien Vaniček's previous work, the film "Infested," can be noticed in the movie. Among them are a videotape recording of the film, the appearance of a spider, and the signature Nike TN sneakers that the director specifically included in the frame.
- According to actor Hunter Doohan, filming the car scene took several days, as the limited space in the cabin required frequently repositioning the camera and changing the actors' placement.
