Shepherd George Hardy reads detective novels to his sheep every night, certain they cannot understand. When he is found dead one morning, the flock decides to investigate, drawing on the plots they have absorbed to find the culprit among the human suspects.

- According to one of the animators, this animated project was originally supposed to be released by the famous German studio TFC Trickompany Filmproduktion, where "The Adventures of the Famous Cat Detective" (Michael Schaack, 1994) was created. Work on the film began in 2006 but was interrupted in 2010 when TFC Trickompany Filmproduktion declared bankruptcy.
