Filming in the UK began on September 6, 2017, and ended on January 24, 2018. Some scenes were shot in Jordan. Reshoots took place in August 2018. In January 2018, it became known that during filming, white extras were given makeup so they would not stand out from the crowd, which caused a scandal. The producers were accused of hiring too few actors of Middle Eastern and North African origin.
