What it’s about
Jack Byrnes, a hard-nosed ex-CIA man, and his wife Dina travel to Florida to meet the parents of Greg Focker, the male nurse engaged to their daughter. Greg's parents, Bernie and Rozalin, are warm and unconventional, and the clash between the two families' values creates immediate friction.

- The filmmakers had to prove to the FCC that a person with the surname Focker exists before the film was allowed to be released.
- The horn of Burns's «motor home» plays the tune «Puff the Magic Dragon», which Greg and Jack talked about in «Meet the Parents».
- Teri Polo (Pam) accidentally called Barbra Streisand "Boob" (slang for a woman's breast) and the nickname stuck with the actress on set.
- Actress Alanna Ubach, who plays Isabel, Greg's nanny, is actually ten years younger than Ben Stiller.
- The flight attendant who takes Greg's suitcase to the captain's rack at the beginning of the film is the same one who got him thrown off the plane at the end of "Meet the Parents."
- Filming took place from March 29 to June 2004.
