Betrayal cuts deep.
What it’s about
In 1846, as piracy in the Caribbean fades, Ercell lives on Cayman Brac with her husband, son, and sister-in-law. Once a pirate, she is now a hardworking homemaker. Her past returns when the brutal pirate captain Francisco Connor lands on the island with his gang and takes her husband prisoner. Connor seeks gold bars that Ercell stole, and he will stop at nothing to get them back. Ercell must confront her bloody past and unleash her deadly talents to save her family from the ruthless siege.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas stars as Ercell, with Karl Urban as the menacing Captain Connor. The film is directed by Frank E. Flowers, who also co-wrote the screenplay. Chopra Jonas was announced for the lead in January 2024, replacing Zoe Saldaña, who remains as an executive producer.
