Dominique McElligott is an Irish actress, appearing mainly in independent films.

Dominique McElligott was born on March 5, 1986 in Dublin, Ireland, the fourth of six children; her mother was a teacher, and her father was a policeman. Her film career began at the age of 15, when a teacher sent Dominique to an audition, where, after winning the competition, she took part in the Irish TV show "On Home Ground".

She starred in the science fiction film "Moon" (2009) alongside Sam Rockwell, as well as in the drama series "Raw" (2008) and in the romantic comedy "Leap Year" (2010). In addition, Dominique plays the leading female role in the series "Hell on Wheels" (2011). In this series, Dominique plays Lily Bell, a recently widowed woman who is trying to survive in a man's world.
