Francis Ford Coppola is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his 'Godfather' film trilogy and the Vietnam War film 'Apocalypse Now'. Brother of Talia Shire, uncle of Christopher Coppola, Nicolas Cage, and Jason Schwartzman, father of Sofia Coppola and Roman Coppola. Coppola is the recipient of five Academy Awards, two for 'Best Adapted Screenplay', one for 'Best Original Screenplay', one for 'Best Picture', and another for 'Best Director'; as well as the Irving G.
