Izïa Higelin (born 24 September 1990), better known by her stage name Izia, is a French rock singer, guitarist and actress. Her most recent album to date, Citadelle, was released in 2019.

Izia was born in Paris on 24 September 1990 to Jacques Higelin, a well-known French singer of Belgian-Alsatian origin, and Aziza Zakine, a dancer and chorus singer of Tunisian origin. She comes from a family of artists; in addition to her father and mother, her two half-brothers are Arthur H and Ken Higelin. Music influenced her from an early age, when her father introduced her to jazz and British pop music. At the age of seven, she formed a duo with her father; she sang and he played the piano.

When she was 13, Izia began to take an interest in rock bands such as Nirvana and Led Zeppelin. It was around this time that she wrote her first song, titled "Hey Bitch", which later appeared on her debut album.

A year later, she met Caravan Palace bassist Antoine Toustou through her parents, and in 2004 they performed together for the first time. Six months later, her backing band expanded to three people when Sébastien Hoog and Vincent Polycarpe joined Izia and Toustou. She dropped out of school at the age of 15 to focus on her music career.
