She studied at the Juilliard School in New York. She works as an actress and producer. Since 2017, she has been married to fashion designer Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo; the couple has 2 children: a daughter and a son, whose names they do not disclose.

When Jessica was seven years old, her grandmother took her to the theater to see a production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," after which the girl decided she would definitely become an actress. In 2012, Marilyn, Jessica's grandmother, accompanied her granddaughter to the Academy Awards ceremony.
