Biography

Ken Jenkins (born August 28, 1940) is an American actor, best known for the role of Dr. Bob Kelso, the grumpy chief of medicine in the American comedy "Scrubs".

In 1969 he co-founded the Actors Theatre of Louisville and served as associate artistic director for three years. This institution nurtured playwrights such as Beth Henley and Marsha Norman. Jenkins previously appeared in the series "Adult Math", as well as in episodes of "Homefront", "The X-Files" (episode "Medusa", season 8), "Babylon 5" and "Evolution", the premiere episode of the third season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" "Sliders" (2 episodes, 1999–2000), an episode of the television series "Dust" (2000) .... Professor Jack Bigelow - "Revelations" (1999) episode of the television series .... Robert Clark.

He appeared in the films "Executive Decision", "The Abyss", "Air America", "The Last Outlaw", "Fugitives", "Gone in 60 Seconds", "I Am Sam", "The Sum of All Fears", "Matewan", "Courage Under Fire" and the 1998 remake of "Psycho". He appeared as Father Fran Goldsmith in Stephen King's television miniseries "The Stand". Jenkins also played a role in the film "Stop Time".

Jenkins can sing and play acoustic guitar, and this is seen in the "Scrubs" episodes "My Heart from Tuscaloosa" and "My Musical".
