Luna Sofía Miranda is an actress, dancer, and producer who gained recognition for her role as Lulu in Sean Baker's 2024 film "Anora."

Born to a family of immigrants from Colombia, Venezuela, and Italy, Miranda is a native New Yorker. She studied acting in the Lee Strasberg Youth Program and later attended the Professional Performing Arts School.

Luna began her career as a stripper to pay for college, earning a bachelor's degree in creative writing and cinematography through the CUNY BA program. She worked at Pumps, a strip club in Brooklyn known for treating dancers fairly, using her income to produce 16 live cabaret shows and an arthouse film. Miranda is involved in upcoming projects, including "Youthful Pleasures" and "FILMGIRL." She advocates for sex workers' rights and considers it her mission to destigmatize sex work in Hollywood and create opportunities for strippers to tell their stories. Miranda divides her time between Los Angeles and New York. She loves dogs, the beach, techno, plant-based desserts, and cozying up with a good book.
