Biography
Aleksey Serebryakov is an Honored Artist of Russia (1998). People's Artist of Russia (2010). He first appeared in films at the age of 13 – the assistant directors of Krasnopolsky and Uskov chose Aleksey for the role of the son of one of the main characters in the extremely popular television film "Eternal Call". By the time he finished school, he had six leading roles to his credit. After enrolling in the radio and television faculty of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, he never began his studies there because he accepted an invitation from the chief director of the Syzran Theatre.
In 1981 he was an actor at the Syzran Drama Theatre, where he worked for 8 months, then returned to Moscow. He studied at the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School in Mikhail Tsaryov's course. In 1986 he graduated from the acting faculty of GITIS (Oleg Tabakov's course). From 1986 to 1991 he was an actor at the Oleg Tabakov Theatre-Studio ("Tabakerka"). He played the leading role at the Moscow Drama Theatre on Taganka in Roman Viktyuk's production of "Phaedra". He performed in the musical "Metro" and in the entreprise production "Novy".
