He is originally from Kemerhisar, Niğde. In 1985 he graduated from the Theater Department of the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan University and began working in the State Theaters.

He worked as an actor and director in the State Theaters of Bursa, Ankara, and Istanbul. In addition to administrative duties in the State Theaters, he also worked as a manager in the State Theaters sports club and the TOBAV foundation for employees of the State Opera and Ballet. He staged plays in the State Theaters of Bursa, Adana, Diyarbakır, Trabzon, Ankara, and Istanbul. He also staged plays in the state theaters of Bursa, Adana, Diyarbakır, Trabzon, Ankara, and Istanbul. He worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Education of Uludağ University, at the Theater Department of the State Conservatory of Eskişehir Anadolu University, at the Faculty of Performing and Visual Arts of Mimar Sinan University, and at the Theater Department of the State Conservatory. He currently works as a lecturer at Halic University and Yeditepe University. He also works in film, television, and dubbing. He is the president of the Istanbul branch of TOBAV. He has appeared in many series and films. He became widely known for the character İskender Büyük in the series "Valley of the Wolves: Ambush" and the film "Valley of the Wolves: Gladio". He also appeared in the series "Şubat", which aired on TRT 1 in 2012–2013. Later he played the character Bahri Umman in the series "Poyraz Karayel", which aired on Kanal D in 2015–2017.
