Nigel is an actor of Irish descent who grew up in Birmingham. He is best known for his role as Superintendent Ian Buckells, a regular character in the multi-award-winning BBC police drama "Line of Duty."

Nigel next plays the lead role of Reggie in the new CBBC series "High Hoops" alongside Robert Webb from "Peep Show" and Aizy Satti.
