Pamela Fryman is an American sitcom director and producer. She is best known as the director of the popular series "How I Met Your Mother." Fryman grew up in Philadelphia. She got her first job on "The John Davidson Show" as an assistant talent coordinator, then became a production assistant and secretary on the set of the series "Santa Barbara," eventually rising to assistant director (AD) and then director. In 1993, producer Peter Noah, with whom she had worked on the game show "Dream House," gave Fryman the chance to direct an episode of the short-lived sitcom "Cafe Americain." These steps were the first rungs on the ladder to a long and successful career.
