Oleg Maratovich Vasilkov was born on 20 May 1970. He came to cinema by chance, from the army. At that time the film "One Hundred Days Before the Order" was being shot and a friend asked Oleg: "Do you want to act in a film?" He did not refuse and as a result got the lead role in the film "One Hundred Days Before the Order", based on the novella by Yuri Polyakov. That is how his fate was decided. Oleg Vasilkov graduated from VGIK in 1995, having studied in Sergei Solovyov's workshop.
