Biography

In 1985 he graduated from the acting faculty of GITIS (workshop of I. Sudakova and L. Knyazeva). From 1985 he played at the Moscow Satirikon Theater under the direction of Arkady Raikin, then served in the Soviet Army, in the air defense forces. Since 1989 he has been an actor of Alla Sigalova's independent studio and Roman Viktyuk's theater.

On the theatrical stage he gained fame after a role in Roman Viktyuk's production "The Maids". He made his film debut in the films "The Right People" (1986) and "Goodbye, Zamoskvoretskaya Hooligans" (1987). Honored Artist of Russia (2002).
