As a child she dreamed of becoming a pop singer. In 1995 she entered the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School in Vasily Bogomazov's class, and at first she decided to apply to the puppet department, since they do a lot of work on speech and vocals there, but, having been accepted into the drama department as well, she chose drama. By that time she had never been to a theater. From 2001 to 2006 she was an actress at the Moscow theater 'Pyotr Fomenko Workshop'. Since 2006 she has been an actress at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater.

She actively collaborates with the Theater under the direction of O. Tabakov. In 2012 she was invited to the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater for the main role in the play 'Talents and Admirers' (dir. Mindaugas Karbauskis). In 2015, paired with Andrei Kozlovsky, she became the winner of the entertainment television show 'Dancing with the Stars' on the Russia TV channel. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2012).
