Biography
Dmitry Sergeyevich Kulichkov was born in the city of Saratov, RSFSR, USSR. Russian theatre and film actor. In 2001 he graduated from the theatre faculty of the Saratov State Conservatory named after L. Sobinov (class of People's Artist of Russia, Professor A.G. Galko), and in 2004 from the Moscow Art Theatre School-Studio (course of E. Kamenkovich). Since 2004 he has been an artist of the Theatre under the direction of Oleg Tabakov. He performs at the Moscow Theatre for Young Spectators and on the stage of the Art Theatre. His film debut was the lead role in the film "Oratorskiy Priyom" based on V. Shukshin. He became an actor thanks to his mother, who in second grade brought him to a drama club in Saratov - the same one that Oleg Pavlovich Tabakov had attended as a child.
"I studied there for about six years, if not more. Well, after that there was nothing left to do but head to theatre school. Even if nothing had worked out, I had to try it," the actor recalled. In 2006 he was awarded the prize of the newspaper "Moskovskiy Komsomolets" in the category "Best Acting Ensemble" (the play "The Story of the Seven Who Were Hanged" by L. Andreyev). In 2009 he received the youth prize "Triumph" for achievements in literature and art. Not married. He does not like to talk about his personal life. In one interview he stated that "in women I like mystery and strangeness." His passion is horses. Music also plays a big role in his life.
