Peter Stormare

Swedish and American actor. One of the most sought-after Swedish actors of the 1980s and 1990s, whose work ranges from festival arthouse cinema (Lars von Trier's "Dancer in the Dark") to Hollywood blockbusters ("Armageddon," "Minority Report"). He also works as a playwright, director and musician.

In 1996, Stormare played his first notable Hollywood role — a psychopathic killer in the Coen brothers' "Fargo," who also invited him to their next film, "The Big Lebowski." Among Stormare's recent work outside Sweden are the films "The Brothers Grimm," in which he played the torturer Cavaldi, and "Constantine," in which the actor played the role of Lucifer.

Stormare also appeared in the first two seasons of the television series "Prison Break" as the mobster John Abruzzi. In American cinema, he is generally characterized by roles of sinister characters carrying an unspoken threat.
